HP Envy Photo 7830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I don't know where to post this question thanin this forum.

When I try to connect to the webserver of my HP Envy Photo 7830 printer, I get this sertificate error, when I clock the red alert.

This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.

Note the photo of the error message attahed.

Could someone come forward and help me to solve the problem - How to make the CA Root certificate trusted?

Thanks you.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I understand that you are in need of support.

Have you installed any latest anti-virus?

Are you able to print?

In the meanwhile, let's try to disable the firewall and check if it works.

If the issue persists, create a new account and try installing the driver and check if it works.

Keep me posted if this helps you.

Have a great day!

cheers;)

Hello Rai 1788,

Your suggested troubleshooting has no relevance to the subject problem I have reported.

Everything works fine but the certificate installed with the EWS is not trusted. So when accessing the EWS in your browser or through the HP Envy Photo 7800 series toolbox gives the red indication in front of the https:// URL suggestion you NOT to proceed as the page you are trying to reach is potentially unsafe (the EWS) and you should abort.

This is caused by HP and should be corrected ASAP!

Please examine the twophotos attached and take up the subject problem with HP. It needs to be fixed right away as the software package is from January 2018! (EN7800_Full_WebPack_44.2.2605.exe)

Thanks,

Anders
