Re installed all HP software /apps for this printer. Installs ok and works. However when opening the HP printer or scanner app a tiny window appears for the app.  Its the normal proper app but it is very small.  Buttons and functions work but you need a magnifier to see it.  Window cannot be re-sized.  Have already un-installed and re-installed several times. Same happens. Now using a Dell Inspiron 7306 laptop.  Previously used a ASUS laptop only 2 years old and had no problem with size.

The most likely answer:

The printer software (code) is not written to be viewed on super high definition screens.

OR

The computer resolution is reasonable but the overall screen size is small (for example, 14 inches).  If that is the case, even a 1920X1080 resolution might view items smaller than is comfortable.

If that is the case...

Reinstalling the software won't impact the results.

You can magnify the area in which the software is viewed on the screen (Magnifier)

or you can magnify the display (perhaps not wanted, but it is an option).

Settings > System > Display

Below "Change the size of text, apps, and other items"

Select (for example) 125%
