Hi @NayakManohar45,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the details. Let’s work through some specific troubleshooting steps for your HP Smart Tank 581 All-in-One Printer on Windows 10 (64-bit) to resolve your printing issue.
Step 1: Check the Basics
- Is the printer powered on and showing a ready status?
- Are there any error lights or messages on the printer display panel?
- Are you connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer? (If using Wi-Fi)
- Check that the paper is loaded and ink levels are not critically low.
Step 2: Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Official Tool)
- Download it from here:
👉 Fix HP Scanning problems and errors using HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows - Install and run the tool.
- Select your printer > Click “Fix Printing.”
This tool can automatically resolve most common print errors.
Step 3: Try a Test Page
From Windows 10:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP Smart Tank 581.
- Click “Manage” > “Print a test page.”
✅ If the test page works: The printer is functional — the issue might be with a specific application (like Word or browser).
❌ If it fails: Proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Unplug the USB cable or disconnect Wi-Fi temporarily.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click and remove your printer.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the latest full software and drivers from HP:
👉 HP Smart Tank 581 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support - Reconnect your printer via USB or Wi-Fi during setup.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
