Hi,
I try to get my toner level on my HP Color LaserJet CP1215
I saw this post : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/HP-Color-LaserJet-CP1215-can-t-find-toner-levels/m-p...
I have installed the latest drivers that we can find on hp site
The problem is :
- I don't have the printer systray icon on my windows 10
- I don't find where to download HP toolbox. It seems to be replaced by HP Smart
- HP Smart does not detect my printer (even if all is ok with my printer).
Any idea ?
Regards

Hi @Sybaris34
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how frustrating it must be to not have a clear way to check toner levels on your HP Color LaserJet CP1215, especially since HP Toolbox is no longer available on Windows 10.
You’ve done a great job installing the latest drivers, and I appreciate your patience.
Alternative Ways to Check Toner Levels
Since HP Smart does not detect your printer, here are some HP-specific methods to retrieve toner status:
1. Print a Supplies Status Page
- On the printer’s control panel, press OK.
- Use the Arrow buttons to navigate to Reports, then press OK.
- Select Supplies Status and press OK to print a page displaying toner levels.
2. Check via Windows Control Panel
- Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on HP Color LaserJet CP1215 → Printing Preferences.
- Go to Services → Print Supplies Status Page → Click Go.
- This will print a toner level report.
3. Try HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- If your printer is network-connected, open a web browser.
- Enter your printer’s IP address (found in Network Settings).
- Navigate to Supplies Status to check toner levels.
Let me know if any of these methods work for you! I appreciate your patience while we work through this.
