You are welcome.
I would start with the (uninstaller) tools from Microsoft, at least to the extent that I would consider using the program.
After that, yes, use whatever software that you feel is best.
I have not used "Geek" uninstall software and cannot comment on it.
I don't have any opinion about Revo software.
It is your computer and you are the boss - liberating.
CCleaner is the one tool of this type that I used to use -- my opinion is that, considering what it does, the tool is (at least, was) far more benign than some of what was available at the time. I have not used any registry cleaner tools since my Windows 7 days (some time back). I do remember warning people not to use the "cleaning" option for Software on the system. Smiling.
The point of using Programs and Features (or Settings > Apps > Apps and Features) is that the software name lists are going to be more concise -- CCleaner is apparently breaking down the software titles into sub-sets: This is nice if you need the details, it may be "too much" information if you just want to get rid of the software. If keep-it-simple will work, I'd stick with that approach.
I suggest you check / read some of the Threads from our own Expert @greenturtle - 'Turtle has far more expertise in the matters of printing software issues.
Good Luck!

Hi @mjbj
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
@Dragon-Fur has given a host of good advice.
As is, it seems that there are tons of drivers installed on your PC. Would suggest that you uninstall all those that is no longer needed and just install the printer you are currently using.
Good luck!

Green Turtle:
I appreciate what you are saying, and yes, we do only need the drivers for this printer only. I was not around at the time, and whoever just installed the new lot atop of the existing ones.
I have been busy elsewhere today, and have not as yet around to following Dragon-Furs advice. However, when I do have time tonight, I will surely work my way through as best I can, with the instructions he has given me. I will then have to let you know how I get on, or if I run into any problems.
However, I have tried reinstalling the C5200 software, and uninstalling (before today), but that would not remove HP Solution Centre, so the installation is corrupt. I don't know why that didn't work. It seems I will have to uniinstall everything first.
Thanks for bearing with me though. I will report back at some point!
Bye for now,

Bye for now,
Yes, uninstall all the printer software first, then try it all again.
It did not work because the existing printer infrastructure is perhaps corrupted in some fashion.
It happens.
If you are lucky, simply removing the printer bits will be enough to sort the issue so you can install the printer software for your new printer.
HINT:
Do not skip the "Restart the computer" bits -- taking the short road is not a good idea in this case.
Good Luck.

OK, well here's an update:
Followed Dragon-Furs instructions thoroughly.
It's installed well enough, but unfortunately despite using Geek Uninstaller to try and remove some of the old software, some remains on the system.
What is in the Apps and Features list (and pertains to Deskjet 2134) is:
HP Deskjet 2130 Basic drivers
HP Deskjet 2130 Help
HP Dropbox Plug-in
HP Google Drive Plug-in
HP Photo Creations
HP Smart
HP Support Assistant
HP Support Solutions Framework
HP Update
Product Improvement Study for HP Deskjet 2130 series
Relating to the previous printer (5280), shown on the start menu still remaining is:
Add a Device
Product Support Website
Product Registration
Readme
HP Solution Centre
Uninstall
If I right-click and Open File Location (1-4 & 6), are showing in a folder:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HP\Photosmart C5200 series
HP Solution Centre is showing in:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
HP Solution Centre doesn't open at all, but the others do.
Running Uninstall has no effect. In fact, on opening it and trying to tell it what to remove, there aren't any items for it to remove.

Update:
Following the Microsoft Install and Uninstall tool link supplied by Dragon-Fur, I have managed to remove two entries so far. These were marked C5200, and SolutionCentre, so obvious candidates for removal.
Removing C5200 seems to have fixed a lot of problems, but there are still some in the list. I can't be certain of all of them, but here they are (they don't appear in Add/Remove Programs):
AIO Scan
(104066F4-5897-4067-85D3-4688B67CCF75)
HP Cust Experience Enhancement
(9720A595-3D2D-440E-9523-0B6F970745DD)
HP Diagnostic Alert
(B6A65A32-8BE9-4B38-ADC5-4B4BDDC10B0D)
HP Product Assistant
(150B6201-E9E6-4DFB-960E-CCBD53FBDDED)
PS_AIO_02_Software
(97AD3490-480B-42B2-8001-326621AF34AC)
PS_AIO_02_Software_Min
(7AB63BFD-91C6-4C21-B2C6-D33A1FC8DE8F)
Scan
(06A1D88C-E102-4527-AF70-29FFD7AF215A)
(Any AIO references would appear to be referring to the old C5280 Photosmart All In One printer, so maybe those could be the next to go?)
Thank you everyone for your patience and help, but I'd be very grateful for any suggestions with the above please?

Another update:
HP Product Assistant
HP Diagnostic Alert
HP Customer Experience
and something called Webreg removed. None of these were showing in Add/Remove Programs. I did look them up online first of all by using the key (28 letters/numbers), and all of the appear to be related to the previous installation.
That only leaves something in the list called Scan, which may or may not be to do with the new printer. No problems yet though, and appears to have freed up some space. Just trial and error (and some detective work).
Thank you all very much for your support though.
Happy days!
