Hi @jpfox,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble finding drivers for your HP Photosmart 7760 printer for Windows 10, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Automatic driver installation: Windows 10 often automatically installs drivers for recognized printers. Connect your HP Photosmart 7760 to your computer using a USB cable and make sure it's powered on. Windows should detect the printer and attempt to install the necessary drivers. Keep your computer connected to the internet during this process to allow Windows to search for the drivers online.
- Windows Update: Ensure that your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, printer drivers are included in Windows updates. Go to the "Settings" menu, select "Update & Security," and click on "Windows Update." Check for any available updates and install them. Afterward, reconnect your printer and check if it's recognized.
- HP Support: Visit the official HP support website (https://support.hp.com) and navigate to the section for your printer model, the Photosmart 7760. Look for the "Downloads" or "Drivers" section, and see if there are any compatible drivers listed for Windows 10. If available, download and install the driver package provided by HP. Make sure to select the correct operating system version (32-bit or 64-bit) for your Windows 10 installation.
- Compatibility mode: If there are no specific Windows 10 drivers available for your printer, you can try installing the printer in compatibility mode. Right-click on the driver package you downloaded from the HP website, select "Properties," and go to the "Compatibility" tab. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or Windows 8. Apply the changes and try running the driver installer again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
