Hi @Tricia46,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reaching out — it’s frustrating when your HP OfficeJet 8010e All-in-One Printer just sits there and doesn’t respond, especially when you’re just trying to print something simple like a copy of a sent email. Let’s gently walk through this together and get you printing again without the stress.

1. Basic Checks First

  • Is the printer powered on and showing Ready on the display?
  • Is it connected to Wi-Fi or your computer via USB?
  • Can you copy something directly from the printer? That tells us the hardware is OK.

2. Restart Devices (Quick Fix)

Sometimes, a simple refresh clears out print queue jams:

  1. Restart your printer.
  2. Restart your computer or phone (whatever you’re printing from).
  3. Try sending the print job again.

3. Clear the Print Queue

If you’re using Windows or macOS, the queue might be stuck:

  • Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
    • Select your OfficeJet 8010e > Open print queue
    • Right-click and cancel all jobs
  • Mac:
    • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
    • Select the printer > Open Print Queue > Cancel any jobs stuck

Then try printing again.

4. Print the Email a Different Way

Sometimes printing directly from email apps can glitch:

  • Try forwarding the email to another account (like Gmail or Outlook web)
  • Open it in a web browser and press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac)
  • Choose the correct printer and try again

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
