Product: HP Smart Tank 6001

I am trying to set up my new Smart Tank 6001 Printer, and no matter what I do, the website says I am using an invalid serial number. I have checked it multiple times.  The number has s/n before it and is 10 digits long, consisting of numbers and letters. There are no zeros or O's to be confused, and I have tried making the 1 and I, but that is not the problem either. Please help!
