Hi @chillnc,
Thank you for your reply
To turn off duplex printing on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer from a Mac running Sonoma 14.3, you can follow these steps:
- Open System Preferences: Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Select Printers & Scanners: In the System Preferences window, click on the "Printers & Scanners" icon.
- Select your Printer: From the list of printers on the left-hand side of the window, select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer.
- Access Printer Settings: After selecting your printer, you should see a series of buttons below the list. Click on the "Options & Supplies" button.
- Adjust Printer Settings: A new window will appear. Look for a tab or section labeled "Driver" or "Utility". Click on it to access additional printer settings.
- Disable Duplex Printing: Within the driver or utility settings, you should find an option related to duplex (double-sided) printing. Look for a checkbox or dropdown menu that allows you to select duplex printing options.
- Turn Off Duplex Printing: Uncheck any options related to duplex printing or select "Off" or "Simplex" instead of "Duplex" or "Two-sided".
- Save Changes: Once you've disabled duplex printing, make sure to save your changes by clicking the "OK" or "Save" button.
After following these steps, your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer should default to single-sided printing instead of duplex printing. Make sure to test a print job to confirm that the changes have been applied successfully.

After selecting your printer, you should see a series of buttons below the list. Click on the "Options & Supplies" button.
Under options and supplies it does not list printer settings. It list the printer name computer type, and the driver version 3 only. Nothing else is listed.
Under the driver version there is another button to “Show Printer Web Page” clicking on this brings me out to a embedded web page that is encrypted. I cannot get any selections off it.
Afer that there isn't anywhere else I can go
