Our printer is printing very slow.  It says it is in “Quiet Mode” but we don’t remember changing the setting.  How can we get the quiet mode off?

Hi @MRVE1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

May I have the exact product name and number? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Meanwhile,

I understand that quiet mode is not turning off. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

Touch Preferences.

Touch the box next to Quiet Mode to switch the setting to On.

Touch OK.

To turn off Quiet Mode, repeat these steps, and switch the setting to OFF.

And, also refer to YouTube: Print in Quiet Mode on HP Printers

  • NOTE: Make sure to print on plain paper, and select Normal print quality from the printer properties of your software application when printing documents in Quiet Mode.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
