Hi @Shrii0522,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
if you're having trouble installing the HP LaserJet 1018 printer driver on your Mac, I can provide some general troubleshooting steps that may help you.
- Ensure compatibility: Confirm that the driver you're trying to install is compatible with your version of macOS. Check the HP website or the documentation that came with your printer for the correct driver version.
- Remove previous installations: If you previously attempted to install the driver, make sure to remove any existing installations or partially installed drivers before proceeding.
- Check for software updates: Go to the Apple menu, select "System Preferences," and click on "Software Update" to ensure your Mac is running the latest version of macOS. Sometimes, printer driver issues can be resolved by updating your operating system.
- Restart your Mac: Restarting your computer can often resolve temporary glitches and conflicts that might be preventing the driver installation.
- Download the driver from HP: Visit the HP website and search for the LaserJet 1018 printer driver specifically designed for macOS. Download the driver package and save it to a known location on your Mac.
- Install the driver: Run the driver package file you downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer driver. Make sure to complete the installation process without interruption.
- Connect and configure the printer: Once the driver is installed, connect your HP LaserJet 1018 printer to your Mac using a USB cable. The printer should be automatically detected and set up by macOS. If not, you may need to manually add the printer through the "Printers & Scanners" settings in System Preferences.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
