Hi Team,
I want to manage my printer, which is linked to HP web services. But I am not getting the option to add a printer. I can see this printer in the desktop smart app, & I can print & scan. I just wanted to manage it, but it's not showing up here: HP Smart
Could you please provide me with support on this?

@Vijithfern, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you are experiencing issues with managing your printer using the HP Smart app and your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw is not showing up, there are several steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Ensure Printer Connectivity:
- Make sure your printer is properly connected to the network and is online. Check the network settings on your printer to confirm it is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
Update HP Smart App:
- Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device. You can download the latest version from the HP website or your device’s app store.
Re-add the Printer:
- Try removing the printer from the HP Smart app and then re-adding it. Sometimes refreshing the connection can help resolve issues.
- To do this, open the HP Smart app, go to "Printers," select your printer, and choose "Forget this printer." Then, follow the steps to add the printer back.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, computer, and router. Wait for a few moments and then turn them back on. This can sometimes help reset connections and resolve detection issues.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the printer’s settings menu.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This software will help diagnose and fix connectivity issues with your HP printer.
I hope this helps.
