Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Connecting the printer to the wireless network and using AirPrint drivers may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Connect the printer to the wireless network

  1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe left, and then touch Setup.

  2. Swipe up, and then touch Network Setup.

  3. Touch Wireless Menu, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.

The wizard searches for and displays a list of available networks.

  4. Touch the name of your network.

If the list does not contain your network name, enter it manually.

    1. Touch Enter SSID.

    2. Type the network name using the on-screen keyboard.

    3. When you finish entering the new network name, touch OK.

The printer attempts to connect to the network.

  5. When prompted, enter the WEP or WPA passphrase.

    1. Type the key or passphrase using the on-screen keyboard.

    2. When you finish entering the WEP or WPA passphrase, touch OK.

The printer connects to the network.

Step 2: Add the printer on your MAC

  1. Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
  2. Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
  3. If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.
  4. Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
  5. Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
  6. Select AirPrint from the Use menu
  7. Try to print.

Let me know how this goes.
