Hi @ Dale46150,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration, and I'm here to help you resolve the issue. Let's try to troubleshoot the connection between your HP DeskJet 2700 printer and your Android phone. Follow these steps:
- Check Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure that both your printer and Android phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Printer Status:
- Confirm that your HP DeskJet 2700 printer is turned on and has paper loaded.
- Printer Wireless Setup:
- Make sure that your printer's wireless feature is enabled. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
- HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your Android phone from the Google Play Store.
- Open HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your Android phone.
- Add Printer:
- Tap on the "+" sign to add your printer.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- The app will guide you through the setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.
- Printer Firmware Update:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
- Restart Devices:
- Turn off both your printer and your Android phone. Then, turn them back on and try connecting again.
- Manual IP Configuration (Advanced):
- If the automatic setup fails, you may try manually configuring the IP address on your printer. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
