I have a Macbook M1 running Ventura 13.7.2 and I have been printing fine for the past year. All of a sudden my laptop won't connect with the printer. I have uninstalled all hp drivers and deleted the printer from my list. When I go to add it again via system settings > add printer > it can see the printer, which I select and auto selects the software. I go to Add and it comes up with an error -
Unable to connect to ‘HP ENVY 5540 series [C65ECA].ipps._tcp.local.’ due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?
I have tried via the HP software but still can't connect.
I also have an older Macbook and this is all fine, I can print and scan no problem.
The issue is with my M1 mac and perhaps compatible drivers? HP doesn't know what to do...
