How are you trying to connect to your local network, wired or wireless? Out of box it should automatically receive a network address (IP address) from your router. Do you see activity lights on the network port of the printer where the cable is plugged in? Depending on the exact model, not all have wireless built in. Can you post the exact model number from the sticker on the back, DO NOT post your serial number.

I am connected by RJ45 network cable directly to our wifi router. The main PC is also directly connected to the same router. There are activity lights on both cable ports, on the printer and on the router. I have disconnected/re-connected the cable multiple times and re-booted the printer multiple times. It runs through its entire initialization procedure without any apparent issues. When finished it says Ready.
I figured it should connect automatically but no joy. I have tried entering the IP address shown on the printer screen manually in Windows and that did not work either.
The printer product no. is B5L25A; there is no other number shown as a model number.
I appreciate your help!
