Hi @skin801,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to find the driver for your HP Officejet J4580 on the HP website and don't have the installation disc, you can try the following steps.

Windows Update:

  • Connect your printer to your computer and turn it on.
  • Go to "Settings" on your Windows 10 laptop.
  • Select "Update & Security."
  • Click on "Windows Update."
  • Click on "Check for updates" and wait for the process to complete.
  • Windows may automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for your printer.

Device Manager:

  • Connect your printer to your computer.
  • Right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager."
  • Locate your printer under "Print queues" or "Other devices."
  • Right-click on your printer and select "Update driver."
  • Choose the option to search for updated driver software automatically.

Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to "Settings" on your Windows 10 laptop.
  • Select "Update & Security."
  • Click on "Troubleshoot" in the left sidebar.
  • Click on "Additional troubleshooters."
  • Find and run the "Printer" troubleshooter.

Compatibility Mode:

  • If you have an older driver, try installing it in compatibility mode.
  • Right-click on the driver setup file and select "Properties."
  • Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  • Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select an older Windows version.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK," and try running the installer again.

Additionally, make sure to verify the printer model and the operating system version to ensure compatibility.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
