I am trying to install the printer software onto my Toshiba laptop modeal number Satellite Pro A040-C-109 and get the following error messages: This computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow the completion of a USB installation. My laptop only has USB3 ports. I have tried using a USB 2 hub, without success.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.
Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Open the Setup folder.
Locate the usbready.exe file and rename it into usbready.old.exe
Browse back to the main extraction folder (the folders who starts with 7z) and launch the Setup.exe file.
Now follow the installation and check for any difference.

Shlomi

Thank you so much for this help. It worked and I appreciate your advice. I have one more question for you. Must I go back and rename the usbready file back to what it was or can I leave it as it is?
Thank you again and regards
Lindsay

You are welcome Lindsay.
You may leave the usbready.exe file as is, the installation is now completed already..

Shlomi
