Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hi there, I have try to install HP Laserjet M15a to my windows 10 and its work successfully, but I cannot install network printer for my windows xp.

Hi,

 

current the printer is connected  directly to another pc via usb cable running under windows 10 (this one is ok),

and my pc (windows xp) is connecting to that printer as network printer (this one is the problem - unable to install).

 

By the way I will try  your suggestion https://lubuntu.me/downloads/. Thanks.

I have updated the firmware, it can only print on print config (configuration report), but on the control panel it cannot print the test page

Hi

 

I assume it doesn't show correctly in Control panel as there are no drivers listed for XP and therefore it probably never will.

 

Does it have a Red or Yellow symbol against it?

on the control panel, when I try to print the test page, the printer lights blinking, but no page was printed

Hi,

As suggested above, there are no Widnows XP drivers available for your printer, it is supported on Windows 7 or later.

 

Therefore you cannot use the printer with XP, either with a direct connection or by sharing the printer, your XP operating system is incompatible with the printer, see the Operating system compatibility listed on its specs below:

What is the problem?

 

You can try and buy a printer that works with XP and W10.

You can buy a new PC that works with Laserjet Pro M15a.

You can buy an OS for old PC hardware and new printers.

 

 

So what is the problem, what are you trying to achieve?

tq for your suggestion, but now the issue is eventhough HP provide HP Laserjet Pro M15a Firmware Update. This utility is for use on Microsoft Windows 32 and 64 bit operating systems but my pc still cannot print.
