HP OfficeJet Pro 7740
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone,

Since the start of the week, I have been unable to use my HP OfficeJet Pro 7740. I have searched online for help and support but I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong. I consider myself tech savvy but every solution I try is met with failure 😭.

I have tried:

  • Removing the printer from HP Smart
  • Reinstalling with HP Smart
  • Removing from add/remove programs
  • Adding from Windows Printers
  • Removing printer from device manager

The printer was working a week ago. It is functional but I can't get my laptop to recognise it. I have attached what I think are relevant screenshots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The recent window 10 update? I have the same 7740 and have not checked it yet, because I am having the similar issue installing my Laserjet200 M276nw driver;  it stops at 99% when identifying the product then posts a fatal error.

Good luck..I'll be watching what others say
