Hi @CAVEXTRACT ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2721e All-In-One Printer is displaying a message that it needs to enroll for ink, and when you try to enroll, it says the printer is already enrolled, there are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed in the printer. Open the printer cover and ensure that the cartridges are securely in place.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find firmware updates on the official HP support website. Follow the instructions provided on the HP website to update your printer's firmware.
Check Internet Connection:
- Make sure that your printer is connected to the internet. This is necessary for ink enrollment and other online services. Check the Wi-Fi connection on your printer and ensure that it is connected to your network.
Verify Ink Subscription Status:
- Log in to your HP Instant Ink account online to verify the status of your ink subscription. Make sure that the printer is correctly associated with your account and that the subscription is active.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
