Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Photosmart 5510 only has a power supply plug, has no USB connection to my laptop.

Hi,

Sure it have a USB port, be aware that a USB port of a printer is not the port as used on a computer:

If you don't have a USB cable for a printer, a such looks as following and can be purchased in any nearby computer store, it is recommended using a standard cable of approx. 1.5-1.8 meters and directly connect it to a USB port of your PC:

     Thanks Very Much for taking the time to try and help me. When I first saw the graphic of the rear of a printer, my reaction was, "Of course". I assumed that I had forgotten the rear USB port. I pulled my desk away from the wall and made a thorough search. I can't believe I don't have a 2nd wire connection. I still feel as if I must have missed something. With the 1,  power plug there is no connection between the printer and my laptop.

     I still have no printer and hope that there is someone out there who will help me.
