Hi @Fibi3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that you are receiving an "Unavailable driver" message for your HP OfficeJet Pro 6960, I would request you to follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

Check Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB cable or network connection (Wi-Fi/Ethernet).
  • Make sure the printer is powered on.

Update or Reinstall the Driver:

  • Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 6960) and follow the on-screen instructions to download the latest driver for your operating system.
  • Install the downloaded driver. If a previous version is installed, uninstall it first by going to "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features," and then reinstall the new driver.

Run Windows Update:

  • Sometimes Windows updates might include the necessary drivers for your device. Run updates by going to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" > "Check for updates."

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
