Hi @Kyesailor12,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Let’s get your HP LaserJet Pro M203dw running smoothly again. I know how it feels when an older printer starts acting stubborn after Windows updates… like an old friend who suddenly needs a little extra care. Let’s refresh its driver, firmware, and software with clean Installation steps.

1. Download the Latest Driver & Software (Official HP Source)

This is the most important step, especially after Windows 11 updates that often remove or break older printer drivers.

👉 Download from HP’s official page here: HP LaserJet Pro M203dw Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

This is HP’s official site for:

  • Full driver package
  • Firmware updates
  • Printer utilities
  • Windows 11–compatible software

2. Fully Remove the Old Driver Before Installing the New One

Windows 11 sometimes leaves behind broken drivers (especially after updates), causing the printer to show “Driver Not Available.”

Steps (Recommended by Microsoft & HP):

  1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners
  2. Select your HP LaserJet M203dw → Remove
  3. Restart your PC
  4. Install the fresh driver you downloaded above

Microsoft support also recommended this exact approach for M203dw issues after Windows 11 updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
