It's my printer that shows it needs an update but it won't install.  The  message shows up under my notebook but the description is for the printer.  Virtual assistant was no help but won't give me a case number.  I called the number it said to call but that number requires a case number.  The screen below shows my notebook was never checked but that's not true.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled support assistant.  I've removed my devices and reinstalled.  This is crazy.  Can't anyone please help me???

@kathiebarclay

Thank you for posting back.

Let's try this:

Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, then enter your printer model number. On the Software and Drivers page, look for Update. If Update displays, click the heading, then follow the on-screen instructions to download any updates. If Update does not display, the printer software is current.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi, thanks for trying to help me.  There is no option for update once I identify my printer.  Is there another way?  Thank you!
