Since running new upgrade on software from HP last Monday, both HP and Apple have been unable to locate why I am not able to print, despite each spending an hour on the problem
As it was not my own making,I am waiting for a call back from HP
Anyone encountered same problem?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's update the Printer and your Computer:
To update MAC, try these steps - https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201541
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168
And then uninstall and reinstall the printer software:
1. Click Finder in the Dock. 2. In the menu bar, click Go, click Applications, and then open the HP or Hewlett Packard folder. a) If HP Uninstaller is in the folder, double click it, and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software. b) If HP Uninstaller is not in the folder, continue to the next step. 3. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock. 4. In the menu bar, click Go, click Go to Folder, type /Library/Printers, then click Go. The Printers folder opens. 5. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock. 6. Restart the Mac. 7. Right-click or Ctrl + click the Trash icon, and then select Empty Trash.
Please download and install the software from here:

Thanks for your reply Betty.
I believe that Rick at HP support, did all that you have explained, with no luck,He says he has escalated it to a more advanced technician. That was last Tuesday, and I have not heard any more.I also had a previous session with Jeremy(Jay),who also could not resolve it.I am not great with computers so did not want to start using your directions, as thought Rick would have managed to resolve matters with whoever he was detailing for this.many thanks, terry moffat
