HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3785 All-in-One Printer

I've had this printer for about 6 years now, and anytime I had offline problems in the past a simple printer reboot, router reboot, or re-installation of the printer fixed the problem.  Now that I'm runing Windows 11 and a new fiber optic high speed router, the printer is completely unable to connect to my network.  I tried every solution listed on HP, Scan Doctor, YouTube, etc.  Re-installed printer software and drivers, rebooted servers, and removed and re-added the printer using the setup wizard.  Nothing worked.  No air printing.  No wireless printing.  Nothing.  HOWEVER - I am able to print from my laptop to the printer if I join the PRINTER'S OWN WIRELESS NETWORK - but this network DOES NOT HAVE internet access.  It just allows communication between my laptop and the printer.  Nothing else.  So bizarre.  Yet, when I do a printout of the wireless network info - it correctly lists my actual WIFI SSID and network key.  But if I join that SSID - the printer goes offline!  So ridiculous.  HP Scan Doctor or HP Smart Diagnose and Fix can't find the issue.   Anyone else have this issue with Windows 11?  Thanks!

Likely the printer is having issues connecting to the 5Ghz channel of your router. The best thing I can suggest to work around this is to create a unique SSID on your router for the 2.4Ghz channel and only allow the printer to connect to that SSID.

Thank you!  That's a great suggestion.  I do want to note, however, that I have several other devices that also ONLY run on 2.4 ghz and are working fine.  That being said, I am in a bizarre predicament, as my ISP provided router does not allow me to designate a different SSID for 2.4ghz  and 5 ghz, it only allows me to change the SSID for the 2.4Ghz which then automatically assigns the SAME SSID to the 5 Ghz.   Frustrating.   I am able to DISABLE the 5GHz however, but this didn't solve the problem.  I will contact my ISP to see if they can override the router restrictions and allow me to create a separate SSID for 5Ghz.  Thanks again for you kind suggestion!  Much appreciated!!  😉
