I used to be able to print by right clicking a photo or document on my desktop and selecting print, then it would come up with a large box allowing me to select size, etc. NOW I am only able to right click and hit print and it prints a full page photo. I can go to HP Smart to override this and print my selected size, but it's truly a pain. PLEASE HELP!

The following message is, after all, not the answer in the context of your question.
Right-Click > More Options > Print
Starts the old Windows Photo Viewer
Yes, that software does let you select various print size options.
Leaving the information in place as an explanation of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts.
Original Content
Set Printing Preferences to the Shortcut / Custom Shortcut you want as the "default" go-to settings.
If you have not done so and / or if you are having issues with the Default Printer assignment, fix that, too.
What?
Right-Print on the file name to print uses the currently set Default Printer and whatever is set in Printing Preferences
and
Printing Preferences uses what ever is last set as the default shortcut (left in place at exit).
IMPORTANT
IF you are using the HP Smart Printing driver print queue, the Printing Preset / Preferences is set up similarly but different enough that the example for Printing Preferences (later in this message) might not be clear. Ask for an example created for Printing Preferences and the HP Smart Printing driver queue. If you don't know what this is, you are not using HP Smart Printing.
