Using HP Deskjet 2810E with black ink only

I have just completed setting up HP Deskjet 2810E.

I'm using HP Smart on iPhone. I'm about to respond to the offer to order more ink AUTOMATICALLY.

On all my previous printers, I have never used coloured ink. But the colour cartridge is always present, simply because printers refuse to print without it.

Question: If I accept the automatic order, will software recognize that no coloured ink is needed ?

When any ink cartridge reaches a low level, a new shipment of low level ink is triggered.

It doesn't matter if you print in black only or in color; you are paying for printed pages, not for ink ink is free.
