My envy 4520, suddenly stopped being recognized by my laptop, and I cannot print.  I tried everything the tech person I was chatting with via Facebook Messenger and it still doesn't work via WiFi.  Will I be able to use a USB cable to connect my printer to my laptop?  is there anything special I need to do or can I just plug it in and print? I really don't want to buy a new printer right now.  I also don't print all that much, but I need to print quite a few documents for work from my home.  Please help.

Yes, you can use USB printer cable to connect. You have to re-run the Setup task and select USB.

Your answer contradicts what HP support told me when I chatted with them again yesterday.  I was told, I could just connect the USB from my laptop to the printer and it would work.
