I have uninstall & reinstall the All New ENVY 5530 SERIES software & drivers from HP website and follow the instructions to the letter and still it will not install and my printer cannot be connected to my laptop. I have been working on this for three days and if I cannot find a solution, I will just have to dump the printer and buy another brand.
Could someone take pity on me and help me out? I would be grateful.

Hi, Dragon Fur,
Thank you for taking the time to give me the step by step instructions but I got problems. Why is it my control panel shows Print Qeues instead of Printer icon? I tried typring in printui/s/t2 and it told me file not found but I found it in my Windows C: but when I right-click the Properties, TrustedInstaller(I don't know who) have full control and the rests are given only Read and Read & Execute power. I also don't know why there's ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES and ALL RESTRICTED APPLICATION PACKAGES aside from SYSTEM, TRUSTEDINSTALLER, USER (me) and ADMINISTRATOR.
There are 6 printer user interface application in different files too.
I was so excited that finally I can fix it and then so many problems. Also when I go to Control panel to uninstall the Envy 5530 Basic Device software, it gave me an alert that it cannot process as the files are not found.
I am so discouraged. Maybe I kept deleting and reinstalling the software and got all these errors?
Please, Dragon Fur, kindly help me what to do? Sometimes I feel like my computer was hacked or what but I have Norton antivirus and I always install Windows updates automatically. I am not a computer geek but I am very patient and hope that my printer can be installed and connected to my laptop.
Thanks in advance for your kindness, I await your assitance. Have a blessed day in the Lord!
Sincerely
Veealsy

Your comments remind me that my efforts to make things easier do not always succeed.
Try the Doctor and see if it will clear / fix the problem:

You have to be logged in (to the computer) with an account that includes administrative privileges. None of this works if you are using a regular "user" account.
To check your account type:

Commentary
There is no guarantee that the previously posted procedure would fix the problem YOU have -- the process is meant to clear any accidental corruption that might have been the result of a recent Windows Update that changed the print environment.
About the "Uninstall software" parts of the process
If the software is not already installed, that is, there is no printer software on the computer, there is no need to (again) remove the printer software.
IF printer driver files show up in Print Server Properties > tab Drivers, Remove
IF the printer shows up in Devices and Printers, Remove
If I think of anything else that might be helpful, I will post back.

Dragon-Fur,
I'm sorry to repond so late as I was busy with household stuffs the last few days. Early this morning, I tried on the part of deleting the softwares of my printer and I forgot what I did and finally was able to run that printui/s/t2 and this time I was successful until I cannot find the file spool in system32. I use search and found the file & renamed and also the other file. Then I reinstall the full feature software and restart and log in and also install the firmware and restart & log in and now I can print a document from my word as the printer is now connected.
Dragon-Fur, I really could give you a real, real big HUG for helping me out. I followed every instructions to the detail except the spool part and I am forever grateful to you. You just don't know how the burden has taken off from my shoulder. I don't use much the internet except when I have to check for something and look up at the account but many a time I need to print. Now, I just printed your instructions from the forum and will keep it as a treasure.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU, DRAGONFUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God bless you too in all that you do!!!
Sincerely most grateful,
Alsy
