Hello. I have an HP Laser MFP135wg bought 2 years ago.
When I turn on the printer, screen shows "System Initialise" and "Wait Image" after a few seconds.
I cannot connect to the printer using HP Smart on Windows 10 or 11, printer looks totally offline. I tried connecting it via USB, same thing.
None of the buttons on the printer work, I cannot enter in any menu from it. It is totally unresponsive. I tried everything I found on your forums, nothing works (tried HP smart, HP Print and scan doctor, tried running a firmware update, etc....)
What should I do to make it work again ??
Please help, that makes me crazy for such a relatively new product !
Thanks.

Hi @Krasiml,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already tried some troubleshooting steps, but let's go through a more comprehensive process to see if we can resolve the issue with your HP Laser MFP135wg. Please follow these steps.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Factory Reset the Printer:
- Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. This will vary depending on the model.
- Usually, you'll find a small reset button or a specific key combination to initiate a factory reset.
- Note: Performing a factory reset will erase any custom settings and return the printer to its default configuration.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Visit the official HP support website and search for your printer model to find and download the latest firmware.
- Follow the instructions provided by HP to update the firmware.
Connect to the Printer Directly (USB):
- Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
- Uninstall the printer software on your computer.
- Reinstall the latest printer software from the official HP website.
- Connect the USB cable only when prompted during the software installation.
Check Network Connection:
- If you are trying to connect the printer wirelessly, ensure that it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Check if other devices can connect to the same Wi-Fi network.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Make sure there are no physical obstructions or damage to the printer.
- Check the USB cable for any damage, and try using a different cable if possible.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
