Operating system has nothing to do with your printer issue. Unless the new internet modem has exactly the same settings, the printer will not connect automatically and you will need to reset your settings.

Your other issue may be that your new router does not communicate completely with the printer. This happens when a new router has advanced 5Ghz WiFi that the printer is not able to connect to. In this case, you need to configure the router so that the 2.4Ghz radio in the modem so that it has a unique SSID, different from the 5Ghz channel and configure the printer to only attach to the 2.4Ghz SSID.
