I have HP JetDirect 500x Print server (J3265A). Trying to configure it for the first time and entering the default IP address on Google Chrome does not load the Configuration page as expected. Turns out to be a blank screen with just HP Logo being displayed. Trying to configure it through HP Web Jetadmin application but it prompts for Username and Password which was never asked during installation. Tried entering "admin" and "admin" in both the places but that does not work too. Is there anything else that can be Username and Password ? Any hint at the earliest would help.
Just to through some light on how I am trying to do this, I have connected the JetDirect device to my Windows 10 laptop through Ethernet.
Thanks community!!

Hello Manjunath_P,
I understand you need to know how to reset username and password on embedded web server page on your printer.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
Without restoring the network to defaults you cannot change the EWS username and password.
Try restoring the network settings to default and check if it helps.
Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore
Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the
network defaults have been restored.
If the issue still persists try restoring the printer back to factory settings and check if it helps.
Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, select Reports and then select Print
Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify
that the network settings have been reset.
Also, try the steps recommended below.
Open a web browser and type the printer IP address in the address field exactly as it appears on the Configuration Page, and then press Enter.
Click the Security tab, and under General Security, set the local administrator password.
Keep the username default as admin.
Type the New Password and Verify Password.
Navigate to the bottom of the page and click Apply.
Use these credentials the next time you Log In to the EWS.
