What driver is being used on my HP 1536dnf MFP?  I downloaded and installed the “latest” version from HP, the HP LaserJet M1536 Full Feature Software and Driver Version 15.0.22049.102.

Then I went to Device Manager Printers >> HP LaserJet M1530 MFP Series PCL >> Driver Version = 61.101.21.8561

And went to Control Panel >> All Control Panel Items >> Devices and Printers >> NP177CA6 (HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP) >> Properties >>Hardware >> Properties >> Driver = Microsoft 6/21/2006 10.0.19041.1

Am I running the latest version 15.0.22049.102?  Why the different version numbers?

You are running on Microsoft drivers, not HP.

Thanks for your response. I downloaded the latest drivers from HP and ran its installer.  How to prevent Microsoft from taking over?   I  see remnants of previous driver installations.  Do have a reference on how to clean them up and start fresh?
