Hi all,
I would like to buy an OfficeJet Pro printer and I'm confused about HP+.
I had a look on amazon and the price for the printer WITH HP+ is way cheaper but I do not see the additional price of HP+.  I don't really understand what it is and why it makes such a price difference.
Thank you for clarifying!

Kind regards,
Kamille

Welcome to the HP User Community.

HP+ is a service.

One of the features is an expanded (longer) Warranty period.  In exchange, you a agree to let HP monitor the printer and agree to keep the printer connected to the Internet (as a means to facilitate the monitoring).  Personal data is not collected - all data is machine based only.  The information is used anonymously to help HP understand how the hardware is used and whether that are any issues with the equipment.

Which printers?

At this writing, on InkJet printers that include the feature, HP+ is an option - the printer is one single machine.  When purchased, the consumer has the choice to enable HP+.  Last time I checked, there were a couple of LaserJet printers that were sold as separate models:  printer with HP+ or printer without HP+.  Yes, as I recall, the "without" model is less expensive.

Important information is provided later in this message.

Please be sure you understand before enabling HP+ or purchasing an HP+ only LaserJet printer.
