What the error means
Error code 0xB8180C18 is a print system or firmware error. It usually occurs when the printer firmware becomes unresponsive, a print job is corrupted, or the printer hardware temporarily fails to initialize correctly.

Perform a power reset
Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord, and turn the printer back on.

Cancel all pending print jobs
On your computer, open the print queue and cancel all documents.
A stuck or corrupted print job can repeatedly trigger this error.

Remove and reseat the toner cartridge
Open the printer, remove the toner cartridge, and inspect it for damage.
Reinstall it firmly and close all covers completely.

Update or reinstall the printer firmware
Install the latest firmware available for your printer model.
Firmware corruption is a common cause of this specific error code.

Reinstall the printer driver
Remove the printer from Devices and Printers, then install the latest full-feature driver.
This ensures clean communication between the computer and printer.

Test printing from the printer
Print a configuration or information page directly from the printer menu.
If the error appears without a computer connected, it points to a printer-side issue.
