HP OfficeJet 9012 All-in-One Printer

When I print two-sided, one of my sides is upside-down and I can't figure out how to change it.

@Doyo, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

From an Application (like Word, PDF, etc.):

Click File > Print.

Select your HP OfficeJet 9012 printer.

Click Printer Properties or Preferences (this wording varies by app).

Look for a two-sided/duplex printing option.

Choose:

Flip on long edge (like a book — default for portrait).

Flip on short edge ( like a calendar — typically landscape or special layouts).

If the back page is upside down, it means you probably have flip on short edge selected in portrait mode, which you should change to "flip on long edge."

In HP Smart App (if using it to print)

Open HP Smart.

Click on Print and choose your document.

Click the Settings (gear icon or "More Settings").

Under Two-Sided Printing, make sure it is set to Long Edge Binding.

Set It Permanently (Optional)

If you want this fixed for all apps:

Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click your HP OfficeJet 9012, then select Printing Preferences.

Change 2-sided printing to Flip on Long Edge.

Click Apply, then OK.

Flip on Long Edge = Book-style (correct for most documents in portrait).

Flip on Short Edge = Calendar-style (used for landscape).

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
