When asked to print, the soft ware sends info to "send fax" page.

When instructed to print, a 

'send fax" page pops up with nowhere to go. After running the HP Diagnostic Tools Program the problem appears to be solved. But when the next print job is requested the problem re-appears....the "send fax" page comes up.

I connect the printer with a usb cable.  The printer prints fine, the problem is getting the data to the print function of the printer and not the fax function.

Can someone help me with this?

Hi Steve ,

When sending a print job, ensure the HP Envy 7640 pritner iis selected and not the Fax - HP Envy 7640 print queue.

Once selecting the printer it should remain default.

If it keeps defaulting to the Fax printer click the Start button and then select Settings or the Gear icon and select Devices.

Ensure that "Let Widnows manage my default printers is turned off, ensur ethe HP Envy 7640 printer is set as default and follow for any difference.

Thanks so much Shlomi. This solves my problem. I feel a little embarassed because it was a simple fix that I should have spotted......senior's moment I guess.
