Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8620-e-all-in-one-printe...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Thank you Greenturtle, However I have the printer installed wirelessly. The software installer you recommend attempts to install a new printer. It recognizes mine but fails to install at the "complete online" step. Even though I have a internet connection it claims otherwise.  So I can not get the "printer assistant" program back that I was asked to uninstall when trouble shooting  a "printer offline issue". I thought I would simply re install the program...not so to date!
