HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One Printer - G510g
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Does the HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One Printer G510g come with a CD? If so, where can I get a copy of it?

Asking because a neighbor is trying to get the scanner of the all-in-one printer to work with their Windows 8.1. A driver is needed to use it, but there is no downloadable driver from HP's website as it is saying that the driver is provided with the OS. The problem is that the Windows 8.1 OS is not able to find the driver. I have tested the printer and scanner on Windows 10 machine and it worked ok, which shows that the printer/scanner is not the issue. I'm hoping if I could get a driver (either in a physical CD, ISO, or installer files) from HP directly rather than from Microsoft that I could use to get the scanner working.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

@FerRX,

Thanks for your response and the file. I tried the installer that comes with the file but it still kept unable to find the device, which is the printer/scanner. I also switched to Ethernet instead of USB, but still get the same result. So, I ended up with recommending them to upgrade their Windows OS to 10 or 11. Thanks for your time regardless.
