Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an old Laser Jet Pro M102w because I need to use that particular ink to print a decal for fusing. Anyway I bought it without an instructions. I have had it working before a long time ago. It is now asking for the WAP code/number. I have looked on the back plate but I can't find it? Which is it?

Hi @Caff7171

Welcome to the HP Support Community. It is a great way to post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that your HP Printer is not connecting to the wi-fi network and asking for the password.

You may also connect using USB cable and then change it to wireless.

Please follow the steps listed below to connect using USB cable and then change it to wireless.

Step 1: Connect using USB cable:

Please follow the steps in this document to connect the printer using the USB cable.

Step 2: Change from a USB connection to wireless:

Before changing from a USB connection to wireless, make sure that:

- The printer is connected to your computer with the USB cable until you are prompted to disconnect the cable.

- The computer is connected to the wireless network that you intend to install the printer on.

1. Open the HP printer software (From the computer desktop, click Start, select All apps, click HP, and then select the icon

with the printer’s name).

2. In the printer software, click Tools.

3. Click Device Setup & Software.

4. Select Convert a USB connected printer to wireless. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Please follow the steps in this document to change from a USB connection to a wireless network.

Let me know if this works.

Take care and have a good day.
