In the past I had a lot of loss of wifi connection with my printer. However for at least the last year it worked fine (due to Win10?).... up to this week
I cannot print or scan. When scanning I get error 8, [(1,0,-2147221502)] HP imaging device not found
I have uninstalled the software and using the software from HP site. When installing device was recognised only thru usb connection. However, the installaton discovered my wifi and has configured the device for wifi. A print test succeeded (the usb cable as not disconnected), however - I don't succeed to print I receive mistake message, and on other hand, on 1 of the installed configurations the print is on list but not printing and no mistake anounce
I have tried as well the hpp doctor software with no further success

I have tried the HP doctor but after choosing the printer, the next screen is to install the full version. When applying, my laptop does find the printer (no wifi communication)
No problem when connecting a cable, however I need wifi connection

Hi @Shlom,
It looks like you were interacting with @The_Fossette, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Jeet_Singh & I'm at your service.
I would suggest you install the printer using the USB cable and then convert the USB connected printer to Wireless to get it connected to the network. Here are the steps:
- First, click on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL31050/mp-109973-3/OJ_AIO_J4600_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe to download and install the printer drivers.
- In the Connectivity tab, select "USB"
- Connect the USB cable and finish the printer installation.
If you want to change from a USB to wireless network connection, use the Printer Setup & Software utility that installed with your printer software:
-
Search for the printer name, and then click the name of your printer.
The printer software opens.
-
Click Tools, and then click Device Setup & Software.
-
Select the option which says "Convert a USB printer to Wireless"
-
Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the installation.
Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Good luck!
