After the first connection via Wi-Fi, the printer of the device could not connect to the printer for further work. It is also problematic to connect via a wire. What to do?

Hi @Danila4

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like your printer is having trouble maintaining a connection, both via Wi-Fi and wired connections. Let’s troubleshoot step by step to resolve this issue:

1. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn it off, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 2 minutes. Then, plug it back in and power it on.
  • Router: Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it, waiting for 2 minutes, and plugging it back in.
  • Computer: Restart your computer to clear any temporary glitches.

2. Reconnect Wi-Fi

  • On your printer, locate and press the Wireless button or access the Wireless Setup Wizard via the control panel.
  • Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network by following the prompts. Ensure the printer and your computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.

3. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool

4. Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to the HP Drivers and Software page, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers for Windows 10 (64-bit).
  • Install the drivers and follow the setup instructions.

5. Test Wired Connection

  • Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. Ensure the cable is in good condition and securely attached at both ends.
  • If the printer is still not recognized, try a different USB port or cable.

6. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  • Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults.
  • After resetting, reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi or attempt a wired connection again.

7. Temporarily Disable Firewall/Antivirus

  • Sometimes, security software can block printer connections. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus to see if it resolves the issue.
  • If it works, adjust the security settings to allow the printer through.

8. Assign a Static IP Address

  • Go to your Wi-Fi router settings and assign a static IP address to the printer. This can prevent connection drops caused by dynamic IP changes.
  • Use the printer’s control panel to manually configure the IP if needed.

You’re not alone in this, and I’m confident that these steps will help stabilize your printer connection.
