Trying to print a photo. Opened in Windows 11 Photos app.

 

Selected print and the main print page appeared. This dialog box does not allow you to choose Colour vs B&W so I clicked the "More Settings" option at the bottom and the HP Smart Screen appears with all the options - see screenshot #1.

After around 2 seconds all the options/words disappear leaving only blank fields - see screenshot #2.

 

I can scroll up and down in that window but there is nothing there but blank boxes and you cannot change any settings. The app is up to date. I have "reset" the app from the Advanced options menu in Settings/Installed Apps but nothing changed. Please help. I know others have seen this issue also.

I'm curious about the printer device in your HP Smart job image --

HP8CCAE8 (HP ENVY Photo 6200 series)

 

Question

Can you tell us more about the device?

 

For example...

Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners

From the list of printers / devices -

View the list -

Reminder

An entry includes the description "Driver is unavailable" is not a print driver or application --

and

A device for which there is not an attached driver or app cannot be used to print, scan, or fax your content (documents / photos - images).

Continue the check --

Select the same device as you have tried to use in the HP Smart application to print your photo:

HP8CCAE8 (HP ENVY Photo 6200 series)

 

When the menu for that printer device opens,

Select Hardware Properties

Tab General -- What is the Device type?

Tab Details -- What is the "Device description" ?

 

Example - Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners

Selected device is not a driver, app, or print queue -- it cannot be used to print, scan, or fax
