As I mentioned earlier there is no list for the supported Bluetooth speakers for your computer. Most of the Bluetooth speakers should work with your computer as most of the Bluetooth speakers will be backward compatible.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you..I bought a soundcore icon bluetooth speaker.  Finally got someone at Windows to tell me if I got the blue screen of death, that meant that my speaker was not compatable with HP bluetooth software.  I thought they just might give me a message that it was incompatible, but no.  The soundcore works with my android tablet and phone.

There are bluetooth drivers built in, but I can't tell anything from that.

Is there a list of wireless speakers or manufacturers that will work with my desktop??   hate to keep buying and returning. preferably about $50 or so--and do any of them come with a remote?

There is no list of supported Bluetooth speakers for your computer. However, you can check the specifications of the wireless card (If you have a combo wireless card) on the computer from the below link and purchase the supported Bluetooth speakers for your computer.

I hope that answers your question.

I guess I don't have a combo card--Realtek is the company that shows up, but I can't get the hardware screen--Should I look for Realtek speakers?  All way to technical for me-
