Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

after the last update of Windows 10, my PC stopped recognizing the printer.  I've reinstalled Windows 10 and even done a complete factory reset, but there is no sign the printer is connected  by  USB cable.  I've tried all trouble shooting steps, and sought help from different tech support people.  No one can figure it out.  If the printer is broken or is no longer supported as of the latest version of Windows, by Microsoft and/or HP, I would just like to know that.  I can't get any information.  Please help.

@JLAIII, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This model printer is supported by Win 10 and HP has a printer driver on the Hp Support site. Click here to check the same.

  • Did you use a different USB cable and check if that helps?
  • Make sure the cable is directly connected between the PC and the printer.
  • The use of a USB hub is not recommended.
  • Do you have an Anti-virus/firewall installed on the PC? If yes, disable the same for time being.
  • Check the 'Device manager' on the PC if the printer is detected. It could be under the USB ports or Imaging devices.

For more info on how to connect the printer to the PC using a USB cable, refer to - HP printer setup (USB cable)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
