Windows 11 vs HP Photosmart C5300 Series

I cannot install my HP Photosmart C5300 series connected via USB on my new computer with Windows 11. It was running fine with my previous computer with Ubuntu. 

Must I change OS for Ubuntu or am I forced to buy a new printer? A Canon one for exemple?

Printer Software

Your older printer was still supported in Windows 10 using the Built-in Windows print drivers.

True >> The printer is not supported in Windows 11.  It might work, might not.

For Scan, consider a third party software.

If you find no other options, this company specializes in Scan software for unsupported printers.

Hi, thank you Dragon-Fur for your answer.

It looks like an issue with compatibility of this old printer and the new Windows.

I found a solution pluging my printer on an old laptop with the latest Ubuntu OS installed.

I just had to plug the printer, and it was recognized and usable at once! In a minute of time I could print whatever file I wanted to print! Thanks a lot Ubuntu!

And thanks a lot Dragon-Fur for your answer. It helped me accept Windows wouldn't do.
