macOS 10.12 Sierra

I can’t setup my printer because the setup screen is not populating.

Hi,

What screen do you refer to?> on the printer screen or on the computer?

 

Be aware that the printer is supported on Mac 10.14 or later, so cannot be setup from a macOS 10.12 computer, which is not a supported operating system:

Either upgrade your operating system to a later version, or setup the printer from a supported device (computer or a mobile device) first:

HP+ OfficeJet printers - Setup Using HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS, IPadOS)

HP+ OfficeJet printers - Setup Using HP Smart App (Windows 10, MacOS)

 

Once the printer is setup you may try adding and using the printer on the Mac with AirPrint if that works, although not officially supported or intended to work on macOS 10.12, but you may give this a try:
