macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Whenever I try and open the printer app (not HP Smart), it just says the above and asks me to 'contact your computer or network administrator for assistance'. I am the administrator (it's on my Macbook Air M1) and I've tried resetting App permissions but that did nothing. 

 

Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thank you.

For now, you may try the steps mentioned in this document.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
